Soy Nuts – Crunchy, Healthy & Delicious
Nuts have been a staple of diet food and good health for decades and soy nuts are a delicious newcomer. If you’re going to get a snack, I always recommend nuts. Almonds in particular have been called the perfect nuts for athletes who are watching their intake, as sweet nuts contain negligible amounts of carbohydrate. Now, I’m not exactly a health nut, but damn, there’s a kind of nut that I’d actually take over bacon bits on my salad – or well, have alongside my bacon bits.
Now, soy on its own is tasty – I’m partial to Soy milk myself. Nuts are nutritious in their own right, but with the sudden ascension of a nut allergy epidemic, alternatives have to be found by both chefs and parents alike to keep their kids safe and soy nuts are the best ones.
Soy nut in particular is full of both complete proteins and of course, dietary fibers, which are important in regulating regular movements. I believe in the importance of regular bowel movement – in fact, I’m having a movement now.

…done. See, it wasn’t so unpleasant and I feel better.
Bowel movement aside, Soy carries with it a number of other benefits. For vegetarians, soy nuts are a fantastic source of proteins, which are important in making sure a person gets all the nutrition they need. It’s also a fine snack for athletes who are trying to gain muscle mass, as it has all the proteins but none of the fat from animal meat.
Soy in particular can lower cholesterol levels in the body, which is damn important considering how much we get in our system. I mean, it’s really tough to say no to a plate of nice toasty and freshly cooked pork rinds. We may as well take whatever tasty measures that we can to reduce the onslaught.
Soy nuts also come in soy nut butter, for those allergic people who really want to find out what the fuss is about a peanut butter and jam sandwich. Of course, if this were really miraculous, there’d be more fuss about soy than there already is.
There are a number of people who are allergic to soy as well, as it is as common as the peanut allergy – of course it’s not as popularized or televised as the peanut allergy. Now, if you’re allergic to soy nuts and peanuts, well, damn. You might have to just suck it up.
The rest of us, however, have found a fantastic alternative to both bacon and nuts – or hell, we could just throw all three onto our salad.
It’s damn tasty.
