Get Bigger Calves

Getting bigger calf muscles can be difficult for just about anyone. Even very skilled and dedicated body builders can find trouble trying to make their calves bigger and stronger. Every time you can do it without any trouble, add an extra minute or an extra set to increase the difficulty and make it more effective. There are limits to this, however. Try not to do this more than twice a week as it can injure and cause more trouble than its worth.

Use the Treadmill

The treadmill’s always been good for your legs and now, it can help you get bigger calves. First, you need to get a treadmill that you can set safely on an incline. If you’ve actually reached a plateau when it comes to your calf development, this can create a strain and force your body to go beyond it.

The first step here is to set the treadmill’s incline setting to its highest possible and then set the speed to a reasonably slow one. The reason for this is that cardiovascular development isn’s your aim – you are here for your calves. For five to ten minutes, walk on the treadmill, focusing on pushing up with your calves. Make sure that you remain in an upright and straight position to focus your weight onto your calves. After that, make sure to stretch them out well. They’ve been through a lot of work and they’re going to need the stretch.
